Coaching Questions

Dispositions coaching questions are intended to facilitate developmentally appropriate dialogue between teacher candidates and teacher educators. These questions can be used in conversations, post-observation conferences, triad meetings, lesson plan reflections, and course activities and assignments. Teacher educators can use the dispositional evidence to determine next steps in moving teacher candidates towards enactment of dispositions for teaching.

Coaching questions are listed by strand and organized according to rubric categories (counter-evidence and blind spots, awareness, commitment, enactment) and by timing in the program (beginning, middle, end.)
